MALAYSIA WEEK ROCKS ! *0*

March 15th ~ March 19th... MALAYSIAN WEEK!!
First day of Malaysian week
What is that? Why do I have to go there? I want to spend my time in my lovely house. I don't want to go there! I had many thoughts before going to Malaysian week. I thought the schedule would be too tough or challenging for me. There were mount hiking, snorkeling...ect. I haven't tried these activities before, so I was not looking forward very much. However, I MUST go to Pulau Tioman and have a adventurous week. I didn't know that Pulau Tioman is such a wonderful, mysterious and adventurous island.
"Hey! WE are going to sit there. Move!" said the eight graders. "NO! We sat here first. " we, six graders (Sejin, me, yoodam and Alex) protested strongly. We were arguing for the back seat. Six graders also wanted to sit there and eight graders were also desperate to sit at the back. Both of us couldn't give up. The argument went on for about 15 minutes. Then, we made a deal. Since the bus ride was 6 hours long, six graders sit at the back for 3 hours and eight graders sit at the back for next 3 hours! Everyone agreed and six graders enjoyed our 3 hours by playing cards, reading ghost stories, chatting...
After six hours, we arrived at the port. I was quite exhausted by the 6 hours long bus ride, so I couldn't speed up carrying my big bag pack to the port. Then, we took a boat ride. " BOOM!" There was a big crash heard from the floor. I was shocked and looked around me, but there was nothing odd. "BOOM!" There was sound coming from the floor again. I looked at the floor carefully... and found out that the metal door attached on the floor was bumping because the boat was very speedy and bounced to high!!
On day one, we usually relaxed in our room and have a day nap with my roomate, sejin and yoodam.
The sky was getting darker and darker. Everyone were bored. I invited Alex and Yuri to my room. We were all excited by tomorrow's plan- mount hiking. Yuri was an eight grader, but her way of thinking was six grader, so we could chat and play cards together. "Knock Knock..." sejin opened our door. It was Mrs. Foltz. "Time to sleep ladies" We were enjoying our time, and we didn't know it was time to sleep. I was quite disappointed that time flew so fast, but I couldnt do anything. Few minutes later, everyone asleep and I went into the dreamland as well....
*Day 1 over*

Thinking back 2008...

"5.....4.....3......2......1......0....!!!! Happy New Year!....." I was waiting for that message to come....however, no one sent me that message......When i think back, I think 2008 was the worst / best year ever through out my whole life.

First, my birthday party was GREAT last year. I invited all my friends and went to karaoke, swimming and food fight. Althogh mom had to spend quite a bit of $....the FOOD challenge was the best of all. We each made a horrible drink. For example: Kimbab, tomato, papaya, watermelon, spicy chicken sauce and cola....(SOMEONE really made this...) Then, they ask one friend to eat/drink that. If the person cannot drink that, that person's out. Who ever made it gets a prize. However, these are ALL past....

Happy OVER! NIGHTMARE starts.....

Christmas.....When I think of Christmas, it reminds me of snow, happy face, carrols, presents...... In Malaysia, those events are not likely to happen, but I expected PRESENTS...though...... At Christmas Eve, I was not sleepy so my mom and I watched Christmas movie. Everyone was here, except dad. -1.30am.- We were still watching movies, but dad still didnot return home. This time, mom was quite mad. She picked up her phone and called dad,"WHERE R U!? DO YOU KNOW THAT TODAY IS CHRISTMAS? SHOULDN"T YOU BE WITH YOUR FAMILY?!!!" ....Thirty minutes later, dad came. It has come....

Mom and dad had an arguement. Then, the voice tone started to go up. Soon, they were shouting at each other. I couldn't say a word.... The next morning, there was NO talking. "Good Morning...." That was it. It was a miserable day. The exactly same thing happened the day before 2009 ( 31st December 2008).... MISERY>>>>

December.....the best month in a year!

December 2nd... It is my parent's wedding anniversary day. I was the first person who noticed that wedding anniversary is coming soon. My plan was to cook delicious breakfast on Sunday, but I had forgotten. Today, I woke up in the morning to make breakfast, then I realized that it was time to go to school. When I came back, I didn't bring money, so I couldn't buy cake. On the evening, I started to make a fantastic hairband, combaning all my jewerlies, hair pins..... I spent 30 minutes to make that tiny little thing...(Hew...I hope she likes it...)... I thought my mother would like shiny objects, so I put shiny twinkling hair gel onto my hair band. Tomorrow when we have our dinner outside, I am going to give it to my my mom, and take a photo of her smiling at the present I gave her.

Another event that is unique about December is, December is a snowing season! In most countries, they start snowing from November or December.(In my case-Korea- is December...) I haven't seen snow since when I was third grade. I have so much memories with my counsins playing with snow. My best memory in Korea is going to a snow park. I couldn't ride the ski, so I just had to play with snow slide. (Still... I can't ride ski...) I had forgotten the feelings in the snow because I was young... Also, winter is my favorite season!

I know this is childish, but I have memories getting a present from Santa Claus. When I was 4, I got my favorite doll, 5years old, I received a small notebook and when I was 10, I got a set of water crayon. I hadn't received any present from (imaginary) Santa since I was in Malaysia... There are also winter breaks during December! The winter breaks are long in Korea, so my counsin often visit Malaysia during winter breaks. (twice in 4 years...) I can have a relaxful and exciting holiday in winter break.

So, DECEMBER is my BEST month in a year!!

THe invention of PAPER!!

Hi. Today, I am going to introduce the WONDERFUL invention ever.

Paper- Paper is used for writing, printing and wrapping and is made from vegetable matter. Nowadays paper was made from the wood of fast-growing trees such as fir, pine and spruce. The wood is cut into very fine pieces, mixed with water and other chemicals and heated. Paper was invented in China in about AD 705 by a scholar called Ts'ai Lun.
If Ts’ai Lun did not invented the paper, we can't send letters, write important knowledge and many more. Since Ts'ai Lun invented the paper, our technology development improves alot. People could plan their new invention on the paper, revise their work and if something bad happen, they can send letters to let each other know. Although paper is helpful, but people needs to cut down the trees to make papers. We need to RECYCLE!! If we don't recycle now, we might cannot use paper in the future!

A Meaningful Visit from SPCA.

Last Friday, there was a visit from SPCA,(Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) One of the SPCA worker showed us a power point and explained to us everything about SPCA. Do you know why there are injured animals on the street have dead? It's because the children throw stones or they might be abandoned by their owners. Wait, if you just think the opposite way, you might have feel sorry for the animal. Animals didn't actually did anything wrong. It's just that the owners are too lazy to take of their pets. Oh, you think that the pets are disturbing? But you don't have to abandon them. You just can send them to SPCA.

You might see some injured pets on the street. Don't avoid them, try to help them! There are too many these abandoning situation so SPCA is now full of injured and abandoned cats and dogs. There are so many of them that the people have to neuter them. Sometimes, they put the animals into deep sleep. So, we need to help these homeless animals!

You can help them by:
1. ADOPT pets! Don't buy a pet from pet shop!
2.DONATE money to SPCA.
3. DONATE supplies that you are not using: old towel, food / drink bowl, litter sand, old newspaper...

Sounds pretty easy?Huh! Guess what! You have to show SPCA that you are willing to help them by these three main points! You don't want to leave those cute puppies out there injured. Right? I wouldn't let them do so. So, from now on if you have chance to buy pets, remember.BUY FROM THE SPCA! IT WOULD HELP THEM A LOT!!

Me + Me & Me!

Hi, I am Rosa. I named my title "Friendship is Forever", because I realized that friendship is really important. "Friendship" means there is someone beside or around me to help me out whenever I am in trouble or having a hard time.

In 4th grade, I made a best friend-Sheri. Although I was better than her in English, Korean, Math etc, she was better than me by heart: kindness, forgiveness... She bought me foods whenever I did not bring my food and we shared book whenever I did not bring my book to school. I was heart breaking when Sheri left Malaysia and I thought about not seeing Sheri again. Now, we cannot see each other but we often send mails and tell each other good news and bad news. If we continue mailing to each other, that will build up our friendship and it will last forever. Also, I put up a picture of a piano, because I think that represents me. I love music and my dream is becoming a great musician. I played piano since 6 years old, and i am church pianist now. So, I hope PIANO can be a representation of me.
